i have a 3 input 5d3 deluxe. iwas wondering if jumping the two outer inputs and using the centre input would cause spontaneous combustion ? i tried this at very low volume and it does seem to afford a new dimention. any
    thoughts?

    Doesn't hurt!

I do it all the time on my Mission 5E3 Deluxe. Noodle around with one knob real high and the other lower....you'll like it.

Hmmmm...I don't even need to jumper the inputs on my '55 5D3 to use the volume controls interactively. In a way, they *are* jumpered internally.

It's true that the channels are already interactive, but if you jumper them, you'll get a whole new level of get-up-and-go. Go for it -- it sounds great.

it's true the deluxe e.q. is quite interactive. for example the treble response seems to be greatest at appx.
7 on the dial and the volumes can be twiddled all
around(twiddled?). i'm just used to my dr that seems so
hi-tech compared tothis one. i am determined to use this
amp in my new situation because it sounds so cool and
is totally different than my other amps. even my ac10.
which i thought might be similar .i was wrong. just trying
all the options without anybody getting hurt!
    thanks-j.p.

I have narrow-panels, wide-panels and BF Deluxes ..each amp reacts differently to settings and jumpering (I don't jumper Deluxes), but do get enhanced tone jumpering the BF Tremolux.
