That might become really really beautiful, though the controlplate seem a bit gleeming.

The only tool I used today was screwdriver.
Only thing left to do is put in the pickups and setting up the guitar.

A friend is yet to wind me a couple of mean 50's pickups.
My guess is that I'll have them by monday.
In the mean time I'll do setup.
    Here's a teaser :D

That turned out fantastic. How heavy did it end up with that ash?

    Me again

After some time and some builds non-related to Telecasters,I'll finally put an end to a chapter that I left open almost a year ago.

Back then I decided to build two necks at the time and was left with this:

Lower one was built up to specs posted here by E.Hawley(broadcaster neck)
and upper one was built according to the dimensions taken directly from Tadeo Gomez neck from '53.
There is a subtle difference,TG headstock has a slight kink on the lower side.
(About the logo-strictly for the my personal use.If the guitar is ever is gonna be sold logo comes off)

However Broadcaster neck is in use for almost a year very succesfully, and
now it is time for TG neck to be put to use :D

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
I decided to tune up the guitar a bit :)
Hence the mini humbucker on the neck (Hot Rod 52 style)
I didnt know how the mini humbucker route looks like so i improvised.
For the time being ill put some noname alnico mini, and later when I get me some cash I'll put in SD mini.

    Finish time.
Or should I say primer time :)

    [IMG][IMG]

There's a visible spalt on the front side of the body, but I decided to leave it like it is.I'm thinking blonde finish will conceal it to some extent.

Body has been treated with primer and sanding sealer.

    Now the fun starts.
First comes mixing the butterscotch base(5%white in clear sanding sealer)

And now... easy on the paintgun trigger
    [IMG][IMG]

I decided to go very easy on the translucent white,in order to expose grain a bit more than it should be. Guess I just want so skip few decades of waiting the grain to expose itself :D

Talking about butterscotch, last time i missed the color big time but this time,
i think that i may just got it right. Here's the test.Little particles are there because of non filtered paint.

Blonde is finished.Only thing left is 4 coats of clear.
IMHO result is much better than the first time.

    Thanks.

Every time as I get closer to finish I get nervous.
I can say ,I just sprayed 3 layers of clear coat and so far it looks good.
Now i have to hang it somewhere warm for 2 weeks.

Finally I received a package with hardware today, and offcourse Im back to
    workshop :D

On the first build I used Kluson tuners, and wasnt particulary statisfied with quality. This time I went for Gotoh, much better quality IMHO.

    Final assembly on the way.
