Any experts like to pipe up with a little history about the original 52 Tele necks?

I am interested in how they varied at that time

A fellow forumite has kindly answered one of my questions and suggested that the necks back then varied quite a bit and V shapes U shapes and C shapes could all be found on the 52s, can anyone shed some more light on this?

And how did the large necks became synominous with the 52 if indeed there was such a variety on the originals

    thanks guys :)

According to Nacho's book they did vary a lot. Soon were 7.5" radius, some were 9.5".
Lots of different neck profiles too. I guess it depended on who came to work that day.

When I first saw the heading of this thread 52 Necks I thought it was movie like 27 Dresses.
