It's been a few weeks since I started this thread, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the input. I ended up completely falling in love with a nocaster in the shop - but not the CC model. Instead I ended up with a 2012 Nocaster Relic that is simply amazing. For what I want, it blew away every other guitar in the shop - custom shop and otherwise. I've never been so inspired by a guitar - I've been so busy playing that I never even got to post about my NGD!

I'm sure a danocaster is a great guitar, but there is just something about trying a guitar in person. Plus, the sale meant it ultimately was around $500 Canadian less than a danocaster, so I can't complain too much!

Next time I'm in LA, I'll probably make sure to try out a danocaster at LA Vintage Gear, but fender really knocked this nocaster out of the park and I have no regrets.

I'll post pictures at some point!

Congrats neighbor! Sounds awesome! I'm a relic fan for sure.

I ended up getting a new partscaster on loan from my father in law. Got a VV Charlie Christian in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster in the bridge.

Nice one! That is the same model as my guitar and it is the best tele I have ever played. Enjoy.

Ha - I've been so busy playing it that I haven't yet taken a photo!

I've had a few times where I've taken it out, planning to do a photo, but just get sucked into playing and suddenly time disappears and before I know it I need to put the guitar down and don't have time for a photo anymore.

It is a very addictive guitar.
