Where did you get the screws? Do they come in a complete package? I want to add them, brass barrels on the bridge. I use a white guard. Seems like a lot of black guard Teles. I kinda like the look of the 54/55 models.

Joined the club! When I saw that Fender released the 50s Road Worn Purple Metallic Tele exclusively for GC and MF (well, and sent a few to Anderton's in UK) I had to have one. I know the color is a polarizing topic but I really dig it.

    Hi guys!!!

What are your feelings of a 2015 50's Road Worn Tele (Blonde) vs a 2015 American Special (3 tone Sunburst/Rosewood fretboard)?

I'm a new guitar player (but a quick learner :)), and the guitar will be used for recording straight into Logic Pro X the following genres:

    1) Pop.
    2) New Country.
    3) R&B.
    4) Contemporary Jazz.

Please give me your thoughts as to why you would prefer one over the other (tone/neck/etc.)

    Thanks,
    Jerry

I think it will be great for that
It's a telecaster it can do almost anything (and with new pickups anything)

Jerry, I have owned both the 50's RW and an American Special. Both guitars are nice.My American Special was a rosewood fretboard while the 50's is maple. The neck is thicker on the 50's. I just couldn't bond with the thinner (more modern) neck on the Special. Ended up selling the AS to an acquaintance and he just loves it. He should for the deal he got. ;)

That's my opinion on those two specific models. These days it seems that there are more variations on models and your best choice would be to try as many as you can to see what speaks to you. Good luck.

    Hello!!! I’m looking to
Potentially join this club. Would you all say that $500 is a fair used price for a blonde with black guard road worn Tele? Looks to be in good shape from the pics. Says it includes a hard case, but there is no picture of that, so I’m not sure on the quality of the case. Any thoughts?

$500 for a Road Worn with a hard case? That is a very fair price, IMO. I'd be trying to get to the seller before they change their mind.

Agree. Just make sure it’s a real and stock Fender Road Worn tele and not some partscaster they are calling “road worn” for its looks..

Man I love my rw Tele! I wish they had put a little more into the relicing though. So I just can't leave well enough alone. So I started watching some videos on relicing and thought why not. I'm not going postal on it or anything just enhancing what Fender started. I'll post some before and after pics when I done.
