OK...It was sugessted in a couple of other threads that a club thread should be started. Just looking for fellow Road Worn owners and Road Worn admirers to chime in. Not looking for the "I don't get Relics" folks. If you are so confused why some of us actually like the Relic look and feel then there are many other threads out there to voice your opinion in.

I'll start! Here's my 50's Blonde. I changed the white guard out for a 52 reissue Bakelite guard. My digital scale is on the fritz but I'd guess it's between 6.75 and 7.0 lbs. When I bought it I actually thought it was a one piece body because they did a great job at matching the grain. When I got it home I could barely detect the match lines on the bottom of the guitar indicating a 3 piece. Other possible mods that I may do include brass saddles and possible pup swaps.

    So let's see some more!

I went in today and fell in love...with the Strat. I played both a Tele and Strat and must say these are really well done, great sounding geetars.

Ya know, I played a sunburst one at GC and I wasn't too impressed. Seems to me that for $900, you could get a nicer partscaster.

I played both the Tele with maple fretboard and the Strat SB with rosewood and the Strat felt better to me.I dont know why but the frets on the maple neck seem higher than on the rosewood.Maybe they will do a 60s tele with rosewood?? Anyone else notice the fret height on these?Maybe i am just a vintage fret guy , but that being said the Road Worns feel like a great worn in guitar.

You mean RoadWorn, or just beat-up 50s?

I'm sure I won't buy one, but that blackguard does wonders for the guitar. Nice.

Sweet looking guitar - I checked one out at the local GC and was impressed with its light weight and over feel.

Now that is what I am talking about. If Fender took the Lone Star sticker idea, I think they would sell many more. I would be in on it.

Wouldn't do much for anyone outside of (a.) Texas, or (b.) the USA, surely? That would be like me and Big John putting an "East Anglia" sticker on our Teles!...

Count me in, pics in my profile.

I think I was the 2nd one here to buy one. It's the sunburst, and weighs exactly 7 Lbs, very resonant body, and nice smooth neck.

The nicest Tele I've ever played was a relic nocaster, and this one is in that vein- great vibe and playability. I am getting to like the frets as well. Nice for bending...

I may put on brass saddles, and possibly a different bridge Pup, we'll see. I really like the neck pickup, great tones for Jazz and blues...

I played one just like that white strat with the rosewood board and was blown away with the playability and it was hands down the prettiest guitar I've seen in many, many moons. Nice choice!!
