WHOA is right and not even all stock!
Final price $8676.50...
Yeah I read in the ebay ad that the original bridge pickup doesnt work? That's absolutely insane
$8676 is insane!!!
More than I paid for the pair of mine.
Both orig with certificate.
With prices goin this way I will have to play one and keep keep the other as my retirement fund! ;-)
hey i was wondering if anybody who owns a red 40th anniversary telecaster would be interested in selling one?!?! and if guys hear of anyone selling one in this color could you please let me know? thanks!!!
Another 40th Anniversary Telecaster is on eBay starting bid is $7000 (with reserve) This one is not Red but sunburst.
Wonder how high this one will go...
Sold for $7000
Not sure why it's sideways, but been messin around with the 40th tonight. Sounds great through this twin...
These two 40th anniversary teles are the ones I own but I'm looking for the red one to complete the collection
Sry here's the pic
Mine went sideways toooooo lol
For some odd reason on my phone it will only let me post a pic at a time
Lots of info on specs, but I was wondering how these sound? A maple top and swamp ash body would seem bright. How does it compare to the usual swamp ash body / maple neck teles?
Another one on eBay, but not a red one. Starting bid $8500
I own a red one and it is a beautiful guitar.
Wow, that's some nice value appreciation there.
They tend to be a bit brighter than say a Blackguard, but most all modern Teles do. Especially since many newer Tele have 1 meg pots (most older Tele have 250K pots). These 40th Anniversary Telecasters are top notch and sound wonderful. I love mine red one.
My guess is the closest thing that Fender makes at an affordable price might be their Fender Select Telecaster other than a Custom Shop Tele.
Lately the prices on eBay for these 40th Anniversary are running quite high. Will be interesting to see if this one sells.
does anyone know where to get a replacement ivroid pickguard for a 40th?
I have never seen one except on a 40th Anniversary, but would also love to find one for another build I am thinking of were it would fit nicely.
Fender refers to the pick guard for the Custom Shop 40th Anniversary, on their spec sheet as "Grained Ivoroid". And it does have a texture to it.
I've never seen on that has not been installed on a Fender Custom Shop 40th Telecaster or Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Telecaster...
