Thank you Ajay.
Nice to see you and know that you have been missed...
Thanks Mate! I have been giving guitar forums a bit of time off recently. There's only so many arguements about six saddles vs three that I can handle!
hey guys! i've been looking for a 40th anniversary telecaster for about four years now, and have always been too late on finding one for sale. it's by far my one dream guitar, so i thought i would post on here to see if anyone may be interested in selling one. I'd like a sunburst, but i would be happy with any... if anyone decides to sell theirs, please let me know! my email is email@example.com, you can either shoot me an email or send me a private message here on the forum. either would work. Thanks everyone i appreciate it! i shall go continue my search now....
I've got money saved to buy one..is anyone willing to sell?
finally a member of the 40th tele owner's club!!! after years of searching for a sunburst 40th, #115 arrived today. I couldn't be happier with its playability and tone, best tele i've ever played!! Everything i've heard people say about these guitars are true
Congratulations on the new old guitar. Pics?
Sometimes the search is a long one.
In addition to some pics, how about the story on how and where you found your 40th...
Here are some pics... Csapo, a member of the forum contacted me by email and said he had one that he would sell. I was extremely lucky, i've searched for so long!!
Congrats again. Great looking 40th and very glad your search has ended.
Think I know where yours came from. So I'll take a shot at Sacramento?
If so, I'm sure you had a very smooth deal.
Yes you're right, the deal was really smooth and I had the guitar within about 2 business days. Couldnt have been more grateful. Thanks again!!!!
Is there anybody entertaining the thought of selling their 40th anniversary telecaster? I have been searching for one for over ten years , and I always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you have one you want to sell please contact me at my email firstname.lastname@example.org
How about the necks?
I've been coveting a 40th anniversary tele for a long time. At this point I still haven't played one. It sounds like this group has a lot of experience. My big question is about the neck?
How would you all describe the thickness of the neck down around the 1st fret? Teles range a lot in this area, and the size of the neck goes a long way in defining the vibe of the guitar.
Does anyone have some input on how the neck feels on these? compared to other teles, or actual measurements. Are we talking bigger than .86"?
The neck on both 40th Teles I have owned has been thin and fast. They are not chunky by any means.
Thanks for the feedback on the neck. I was really hoping somebody would tell me it's in the upper .80's, but it sounds like it may be more on the slim side.
That said, great nut and fret job go a long ways. I'm hoping they are not 'too skinny' compared to other teles.
All feedback is much appreciated.
There are two on ebay right now. A burst and a natural.
The both have their COA, which is fairly rare on the used market...
Both of those caught my eye, each color has it's own charm.
The sunburst one says it's 8.8 lbs, that's way up there and surprises me a bit.
Been looking for a 40th anniversary for 5 years now. Ive been eyeing that sunburst on ebay and its rising fast. Will probably go for out of my range....if anybody's is looking to sell any color please shoot me an email at Codynorton40@gmail.com.

40th Anniversary Telecaster
I am new to the site. Does anyone have any leads on a 40th Anniversary or wish to sell theirs? I am serious about purchasing one and am willing to travel if necessary. Thank you for your time and let me know.
