Didn't want to let the cat out of the bag, since the deal wasn't completely done.

But look what showed up this past Monday afternoon. [IMG] #46

Ajay, I guess good karma was on our side...

LOL! I saw it pop up in Phoenix and was kicking myself for not responding sooner. Great pick up! One of these days I am going to have to swing down to the bay from Sacramento and check them out.

Nice to see you. Where ya been hiding? I'm headed to Sacramento tomorrow afternoon, but just for a quick overnight. Early Wednesday morning meeting and then back home. Sorry, won't be bringing the 40th's along. You are welcome to swing by anytime you are in SF.

Got any new pics to show?!?!?!?!?

I'm still looking for a sunburst 40th, so now that you two knuckleheads have yours, maybe I have a shot. :)

His original tele with the added middle rout used to be in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Ohio from 2006 to 2009.

Keith's original telecaster just after flood, still drying out.

I've seen a 40th in the studio after the flood but I'm not sure if it's his other burst. I'm pretty sure its his "non butchered" one from a video I think.

I'm 99% sure his blonde one went to his kid that he's met a few times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdDbLqBcjHM

I did my fair share of internet stalking on this guitar. :D

    Hey friends,

I have been relentless in tracking down a 40th Tele for my own, and with the help of many of you, I was able to pick up both a natural and a sunburst. I don't think I can keep both due to some family circumstances, so I am offering up an incredible natural 40th tele. It is in amazing condition and is lucky #250! I have pics available, and if anyone is interested, please contact me at [email protected].

    Cheers,
    Mike

I have been researching the 40th Tele but CANT FIND THE DAMN SPECS!

Can somebody please list what the specs are? Neck contour, radius, frets, finish, wood etc.

    Please?

    Thanks!

I really like the nice flamey look of the 40ths. Why hasn't Fender done anything flamey with the 60th Anniversary that's coming out this year? It looks like a AV52 with modern features to me.

Please don't take this to be rude, I just thought I would clear things up. Clarence, his original 40th anniversary, was not in the motorcycle hall of fame. He uses it on albums, he has had it restored since the flood. Also, the natural 40th in the youtube video is not Keith Urban's and was not given to the kid in the video by Keith. That I know to be 100% certainty.

Hey Been following this forum for a while now, have been in love with these guitars for a long time. Good to see how much info everyone has on here. These have to be the only collectible telecaster worth buying. With Custom Shop Tele's all over the place to me this is a real deal custom shop not a "relic". If anyone could email me with some ideas of a price range on one of these. Prices paid on any of the three finishes would be a great help. Ive been watching them on ebay and the Sunburst seems to be the most wanted probably due to the fact that its associated with Keith, followed by the red and then the natural. Also does everyone have their COA if not how did that effect your price? Much thanks,
Let me know if anyone is looking to sell!

Hey friends, it's mine. If you are interested, feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at (916) 333-8999. I live in Northern California and can ship worldwide. This is one of the nicest and cleanest examples of a 40th Anniversary Telecaster I have seen. I would love to keep it, but my wife and I found out we're going to be having our first child!

A Natural one for sale on thegearpage.net and a red on up on ebay...
(I have no affiliation with either seller.)

I wish I could find one of these AMAZING guitars... but no luck here in Lancaster, CA! Oh well, I can always go to Warmoth and build me one. :)
