I have a beat up Squier tele. Came across an article about 4-way series wiring and figured why not try it. Didn't have a push pull so I just drilled a hole in the control plate and threw a DPDT in. Wired it up exactly like the picture. At least, that's what my eyes continue to tell me. I must have it wired wrong. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for troubleshooting.

If the 3-way selectors in the middle (both pickups on), here's what the DPDT does:
Down: Both pickups (normal output), tone control is inactive
Up: Both picks (loud output), tone control is active

The switch isn't connected to the tone pot in anyway. I can't figure out how flipping that switch takes the tone pot out of the circuit. If I had a schematic for this it might be easier for me to follow. I get lost in that 3 way switch.
