I gave up weed when it was still called pot about 40 years ago.
I was invited to a 4/20 celebration as part of a band playing the Grateful Dead album American Beauty in its entirety. I'll be playing one of my Teles through an old Tweed Deluxe. I'll use a reverb pedal and possibly a Leslie pedal for the lead in Candyman. We have one rehearsal on the 19th. I'm hoping the pedal steeler and I are learning the same parts on this one. Jerry is playing pedal steel into a Leslie according to my ears. Easy to duplicate that on guitar.

Even though I bought American when it came out, I preferred Working Man's Dead. I didn't care for either of them because I was still stuck on Anthem of the Sun, Aoxomoxoa, and Live Dead.

I received pdfs of each song on the album.
I'm learning the chords of course and as many of Jerry's links as possible. David Nelson has at least one lead. Garcia is still new to pedal steel.
Garcia's playing is never over the top. It seems to fit each song perfectly.

Over the years I have discovered that C#minor appears in his songs more than once.
Anyone else celebrating 4/20 in a similar fashion?
