The guitar arrived this evening— very well packed from Fender. What a pleasure to behold. I also own the Road Worn Flea signature bass and I have to say I’m surprised at the lack of corrosion on this thing. Thankfully I’m not experiencing the sticky neck that other owners seem to be disliking. I absolutely love the pickups. I have two other paulownia Teles and this is just as light. I’m thinking of swapping the saddles out to some regular compensated ones as these do seem to cause some sitar-like noises. I can’t think of anything else I’d really change about the thing.

I’ll post this over in the owner’s club, too.

Thanks again. This is absolutely awesome. I like helping this site stay afloat and this is just icing on the cake.

Here it is out of the box and with a black piece of construction paper behind the pick guard. As you can see from my left hand-- the strings are a little old/dirty.

Mine did something similar. I think it's the tung oil. You are putting wear on the fingerboard with your fingers. You are working that oil into the nitro on the neck. It goes away pretty quickly with a wipe down and string change.
