YOU FARGEN GUYS! Waiting on a tracking number! This seems like a fairly rare guitar and though not listed as a limited run, it sure appears to be so. It doesn't show up anywhere on Fender's website, not even the Custom Shop. I wouldn't be surprised to see the $$$ value go up, at least a little bit, as soon as this sale is done! At the very least, I don't see not being able to get every penny back in a re-sell, unless it's a total roach! In which case, if it's bad enough to send back, I'm fairly certain that I could whine enough about details to get them to eat the return shipping. This was a total no-caster/no-brainer!
    Merry Christmas To Me!

A funky slant on the venerable classic.

I'm not sure what would fit in that neck route. Maybe a regular Tele neck pickup? I would consider routing it out to at least humbucker size. Maybe combine the middle and neck into a Nashville style swimming pool.

For 399.00.. for sure. ;) For MSRP.... Not ;)

Need to hear clips. I almost did a neck position bridge PUP once, but refrained. ;O

Looking at it, somehow I can see someone with one standing with one next to a Super Six with no grill on on the speakers...:D:cool:

I'd just have to put a Push Pull Pot to allow the bridge and middle to be swapped on the switch. [My default Nash-T cfg]

Was this simply a stupid "impulse buy" on my part, or is it possible that this may soon become a kinda rare guitar? I guess it will depend on how many get made. As mentioned earlier, it doesn't exist on Fender's website.

Same here. I just got an MIJ Squire strat yesterday, I can't do this. Right?

I think it would be easier to just turn it into an Esquire. If you have the skills or bravery, I think it would be fairly easy to route for a standard neck pickup with a dremel. Me, if I get one I'll turn it into an Esquire if I decide I don't want a strat type sound.

I'm not sure that this guitar will "actually" do an "authentic" Strat sound, given the pickups.

Oh yeah, it's pretty obvious in the video that the 2 & 4 positions aren't as airy sounding as a strat.

I'm in. Just got my order number.

Sounds really good actually. I guess nocasters sound good in all three positions.

Adorama had it as a hidden deal. They also have the rascal bass listed as close out but the price is still $799. It makes me wonder if there might be a hidden link for that as well!

They also had a double Humbucker strat for $450.00 recently. Maybe those sold out.

I was tempted by the Strat too, but I like Teles, the discount is higher and the price is lower so I jumped on the Tele. Plus the Strat with the matching headstock won't part out as nicely as the Tele if I were to go that route someday.

    Strat deal $499
