30th St Guitars - Rust Relic

I have been obsessing over a Telecaster built by the owner of 30th St. Guitars in NYC - different from my 52 Hot Rod (which I love but the neck has always been a little too big and the mini-hum and I have never "bonded")- what to do? replace the mini hum and call it a day? Buy the Rust telecaster? Sell the hot rod?

On a more serious note, if you're not happy with the neck and the neck pickup it sounds like you have 2 reasons to sell. Just be certain that you're not just feeling rust lust.

Oh i like the neck on the 52 - its a little big, and I don't love the mini-hum, I like the 52 hot-rod a lot. But maybe I'd be happier with the Rust? I do have Rust Lust! Its very Telecasterish! You know, the guitar represents the guitarist I could be . . . .

Picking up the RUST Telecaster today. Will put up photos (having the neck pickup switched from Lollar Special to Lollar Vintage to give it a little more shimmer/treble/sparkle). Its Mary Kay white, with rosewood neck, mildly relic'ed. New to rosewood necks - hope I bond with her!!
