    I have gone out of an airplane accidentally. (while trying to cut loose a hung trooper) But NOT on purpose.

    Didn't do the baby thing.

    Did do the balut and a lot of other tasty things when i attended "snake school" survival training in the PI.

    I can also say the same to each one of Manual Slim's entries...but that last one really resonated with me. I can also say the same to many of the offerings here.

    Looked up the 'snake school'....handy training should one have to live in the jungle for a period of time....I'd eat snake.
    "Balut"....I'd have to be just shy of starving to death before I'd take on that experience.

    Sounds like a memorable 'trooper' experience. :)

    (respect to you for serving....I was in PI in 1966)

    I was a geology/music major and did the Grand Canyon trip (Geology 99 class) as a tutor and make sure the older folks didn't have any health issues.
    IIRC...we hiked down the Kaibab then up the Bright Angels trial....or....just the opposite....I did that back in 1981.
    It's well worth doing if you're young enough for the rigorous physical demands and have an affinity for Earth's history.

    Back to it....
