What do you do? I'm bored. I have a tbx tone pot, a push/pull for oop on volume pot, and a 5 way old school switch. B...N/B...N...N w/cap...N/B in series. What cool ideas you guys and gals have for the third pot?

Install the jack in the last hole. You can sit in your favorite cushy chair or on a couch and the cable won't be jammed into the seat cushions.

I've built several Telecaster clones like this...even a few with Strat jack plates.

And I'm in the process of building yet another one.

    Please help me...it's a disease!

Teles are about simplicity - instead of forcing a possibly unnecessary option, consider installing a dummy knob (not wired to anything) in the back hole. It would fill the extra hole, look cool, and get other guitarists guessing what the heck it might be...

If you have room for a 9v under the guard, you could build and add a simple fuzz/distortion with knob acting as the volume. I did this with a little fuzz face pcb that is mounted directly to the pot, and it’s amazing. this the one that I used (an Electra not a FF).

Kill switch. So you can turn off guitar and put it down at end of set and go have a beer while the tubes continue to run so you're good to go when you saddle up for the next set. Or from my years as a worship band player, to avoid "guitar farts" as you carefully take your guitar off and put it on a stand so the preacher can do his thing without distraction.

Thanks everyone! So how will a blend potentiometer work with my 5 way set up? 1For example, how is it wired?, what pot to use?, which positions will it be usable? Keep on pickin!

I imagine you would wire a 250K no-load blend pot the same way you would on a Strat. Check the Fralin diagram online. It's easy. When installed, you roll in the neck or bridge pickup to taste and you have a choice of seven basic tones.

If I read it correctly, you are talking about a two pickup Tele, right?
You might find a blender redundant, but, I do like your switch selections.
As long as you are wondering, check out the Bill Lawrence five way for Tele. It's been around for a while and is a fairly popular mod.
As per knob three, a vari-tone variant or something like it to move the mid-range around comes to mind.
