Hmm. I got a cheapo kit that was billed as Swamp Ash and it matches yours pretty closely. Made for a very nice guitar though, so I don't mind!

    Very good!

It's gone! Posted back to the original seller although I've no idea if he will refund me as all his messages are machine translated and I've no idea what he (she?) is saying.

    Peter

If that's really balsa, that's a lifetime supply of the little wooden airplanes we used to buy for 25 cents.

I'd like to personally thank you for your directness and your candor in describing the fraud that you have been a victim of ,
I know some guys from the old neighborhood... that the business people that you have had dealings with really need to meet. They should meet my friends and have a heart to heart talk with them..... so that these type of misunderstanding won't happen in the future.
Again your speaking out about your experience serves as a warning to all of us.
It's like seeing a bull shark in the pool and saying "hey there's a shark in the pool , you don't want to go in there.

Yeah. It was kind of a rush job. Spent too much time on the guitar. I told people I was supposed to be a really recent zombie. :>)

Which eBay seller(s) do you prefer for the Muslady bodies? There are a ton of them, and most of them have terrible feedback ratings...

Well, technically, balsa *is* a hardwood.

Maybe you could fill it with a little bondo?

Yeah, yeah. I know. I saw the seller accepted returns so thought I'd take a punt.

The listing photos show a good looking body but in reality they are, well, not so good.

The irony is that I returned the item at great expense £5/$6 which the buyer should pay and he sends me an email telling me to bin it.

C'mon guys. You and @dmarcus30 are giving me grief and I started the thread as an information post with a little bit of humour.

The experience cost me the price of a beer but without the fun.

I used to say that you could use any wood for a guitar body ( For example early Danelectro's used countertop plywood) however the body has to be strong enough to attach a bridge, pickups and be a fulcrum point for the neck so balsa is no bueno but pine is used and other hardwoods or plastic and metal etc etc. as for the guitar body in question may I suggest it would make a great dart board. :)
