I’m afraid to guess; my bike wrenching never progressed beyond Getting dumpster-dive one-piece-crank steel-frame beaters up and running (hub width adjustments involved a length of 2”x4” and a tape measure

Oh I know exactly what it is, I may have one somewhere in my shop. Another hint for everyone else: The part it was used to service, inadvertently put Shimano on the map as the premier bicycle component maker.
