Just saw your NGD...awesome review. I'm also glad the neck pickup is clear but not Stratty sounding.
Very recent YouTube review. I had to stop watching it as the guy was driving me nuts.
Portuguese review. Nice ToneMaster tones there.
Mine arrives Thursday!
Wonderful. You’ll love it. I’m sure.
Don’t forget to join the club here with nice pics...
Mine is scheduled for a delivery this Saturday.
How would brand new guitars have any effect on the price of a '50 model?
Surprise! It showed up today instead! I was at home for lunch when it came. Too cold here in Alaska ignore the 24hr label, so I'll open it this evening! LOL! (it's not a D28 for crimeny sakes!)
I really enjoyed the 2.5 hours of playing my new Broadcaster last night! Mine is a little more plain looking than some others in this thread. The ash is a very tight and has an even grain. I sense that it is on the high side of seven pounds but was too busy playing it to weigh it. I love the neck and the pups are really close in sound to an actual Broadcaster I played once in Seattle. I can't usually do strait SC pups (my other Tele has Bardens) but I am going to do my best to work through that as these sound fantastic!
My one criticism: back off the amber neck tint Fender! I mean a little is fine but it is getting a bit much. I still like it but it's very close to overkill. My wife likes it so maybe its just subjective. I suspect it will fade over the years as it is yellow tint but the clear nitro will darken so who knows. I'll try to post some pics on the weekend but I have a gig and recording session so I am booked till Sunday.
Another YT review, in French with some nice Rock 'n Roll playing
does anybody gig these ltd edition reissues or or they collectors only? since they are hi spec guitars they must sound good too. do audiences go to somebodys concert and say he sound better using the broadcaster than the ______signature model or even say wow is that a broadcaster hes using? just asking
I really want it but at the same time think that it won’t do anything different than my AV52... Still want it though!
I don't know about others but my Broadcaster will definitely be getting folks on the dance floor!!!
My thoughts exactly. I mean EXACTLY.
Yup. I don’t baby my guitars and this one won’t be an exception. Matter of fact it’s been sitting on a rack with all of my other custom shop telecasters so it can easily be grabbed. To me there’s no point in having these if they’re going to sit in a case. If I listened to people’s advice either from online or in real life about taking care of guitars they would sit in cases and never be played. I’ve been to people houses who told me I have to keep them in cases and in a humidified room yet they have theirs hanging on walls by drafty windows and doors.
I received mine a few days ago. Unfortunately, I shipped it back to MF the next day.
First thing that jumped out to me was the ugly grain on the body. I could have easily overlooked this if it was my only gripe. Three of the pickguard screws weren't flush and stuck out at weird angles. Tried to fix them but no dice. One of the strings (I believe it was the B) wouldn't stay in tune. It would go flat after every song, even after several hours. Fender also left some kind of compound on a couple of the bridge screws.
Overall it sounded nice, but there were too many fit/finish issues that added up for me. It's not a cheap guitar. I think I'll pre-order the Parallel Universe Magico (complete opposite end of the spectrum, I know, but it's the other guitar at NAMM that spoke to me).
Wow that’s poor and a shame. Very disappointing for you.
These guys are freakin excited!
Too expensive not to be entirely happy, I would have sent it back too. Most reports including mine are very positive. Mine had a neck alignment issue that was easily rectified. Maybe one will come your way that is top your liking.
