A fine time to discover my jointer isn't working:
    20200307_155101.jpg
    Glue joint and all...
I squared it up as well as possible with a bench belt sander.
This is Honduran mahogany and the neck will be as well. Ebony fretboard.
Other that that, I'm not sure exactly which direction is going.

I did order a couple hundred worth of parts yesterday, they'll be here tomorrow.
I love that packages mysteriously appear on Sundays now.

Well, this is actually the good side of the glue up. The other side has runout and surface chips.
I'll save it for a solid color build later on.

I just ordered a one piece mahogany blank.

This is the body template I'll be using.

The dust and spider webs show that it's been an awfully long time since it was used.

That body shape is awesome! Is it your own design? I tried sketching up an original body design a while back that looked similar. Just not nearly as well proportioned. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Here's a piece of aircraft aluminum with the body template. That should give a pretty good hint.

This idea is a pretty ambitious and detailed project. I've built several before but never in this short of a time frame. We'll see how this goes...

What is this ordering a body blank? Will that make it an assembled guitar? Or is it still a build? Don't blame me for poking fun, Crazy Dave said it was OK.

Good luck with the upcoming build.
