That's the list!
None of the above! So many better and more influential artists omitted
How about: (1) Crowded House, (2) The Jam, (3) The Buzzcocks, (4) Link Wray...
Personally , I’m glad Radiohead and the cure have been recognized.
I liked the Zombies, but they had three songs. I could stop 100 people on the street and ask them to name a Radiohead song and would probably be lucky if two people could answer it. The Doobie Brothers ought to be in for China Grove alone.
To me the later (Argent) was so kick butt!!! Liked the zombies, but..
The Cure, Roxy Music, and the Zombies. All rock solid choices.
None of the above. None.
Janet Jackson? Rock n Roll? What?!? C'mon...
Zombies just because I've always loved them and felt bad for them because they had great songwriting, a unique sound a fantastic swan song LP but didn't get proper exposure. Wait, what does this have to do with the Hall Of Fame? Obviously, Janet Jackson is the true Rock and Roller of the bunch so she should be inducted.
Def Lepperd isn't in already? A million top 10 hits, great singer, screaming guitars, 1 armed drummer....WTF?
Sounds like a circus act.
They ceased rocking after High & Dry so they definitely belong in that building.
None of the above.
Maybe they should change the name to Hall of Music Acts that Some People Kind of Like.
I always find these comments strange.... depends in what circles you hang out right? Radiohead pack out concerts around the world and with 30 million plus album sales that’s a few people right ?
You know, it's funny because I listen to a lot of music and I know Radiohead has a rabid fan base but I only know one song of their's. Creep. A good tune that got played to death back in the nineties.
They're one of those bands that everybody has heard of but most people only know that one song. None of my friends, including the ones who play, really listen to Radiohead. I keep meaning to check out more of their music but never quite get around to it.
The Cure and Radiohead- two of my favorites! The rest are also great/successful acts. Sure there are many worthy bands out there that haven't been chosen, though.
Listen to "The Bends"...my favorite Radiohead album with every song a masterpiece. Very much rock, not as "experimental" as some of their later stuff (although that stuff is great, though). And I grew into Radiohead- it wasn't an immediate appreciation. Some bands are like that.
I make the same complaint every year:
Yes, Justin Bieber proves that.
Justin Bieber proves that many people can name Radiohead songs ?
Every year the same old arguments and trash talk.
You moaners do realise that no selection is going to please everyone every time. Right? And that none of this is important anyway. Right?
So sorry your childhood faves didn't get chosen this time. Maybe next year. Then what will you ***** about?
