This "using Bradford as trade bait" is yesterday's news...we all thought that too. Chip basically laughed at that notion today. As shocking as it seems, all indications point to him really liking Bradford. We're all flabbergasted.

Here's one...the 4 players the Eagles are adding, Kiko Alonso, Wayne Thurmond, Ryan Mathews, and Sam Bradford have collectively missed 109 of the possible 272 games in their careers.

Bradford IS good when he is healthy...

lots of people laugh when they play poker.

of course, I'm not on the "chip kelly is a genius" fan club list either and he may be as silly as he seems.

Fitzpatrick to the Jets and Andre Johnson to the Colts. Andre may come back to haunt the Texans.

At the poker table, if you don't know who the sucker in the game is, it's you.

Trent Dilfer got a Super Bowl ring as the Ravens starting QB.

Don't give the ball away. Killer defense keeps the score down, maybe scores a few points. Heavy duty power running game gets the opposing D pulling up closer to the scrimmage line, throw the ball over them a few times.

Yes. And how many Trent Dilfers can you point to who made deep playoff runs? Consistently?

    Did Trent make it back?

I didn't say it was impossible... I said 'very difficult.'

Trent Dilfer grew up not far from here... he is universally dreaded by all who know him.

He is a great example because, like Brad Johnson (mr. deflater himself) he is the exception rather than the rule.

Generally, if Trent Dilfer is your quarterback, you are making travel plans for the family in January.

but they just signed ryan mathews...and have sproles and polk...adding murray would be good to get him away from dallas...but they have to many backs at that point...so i guess we would say bye to polk

Of course you're right. It's hard to build a team that way. Joe Gibbs and Bobby Beathard did it with the Redskins in their glory years with the Hogs. Easier to get the gold plated QB and build that way, but the Skins laid it on Elway and the Broncos in Super bowl XXII with a 42-10 butt-kicking.

ESPN reports that Murray is flying to Philly with the intent of signing and becoming an Eagle. (One comment I saw is that he'll disappointed when he arrives in Philly and is still a human.)
It's baffling. The Eagles didn't want to spend the money to sign McCoy, but here, they're ready to shell out probably even more money than what they would have given McCoy on Murray. Of course, there is the bonus of screwing the Cowboys...

I'm an Eagles fan and I'm used to being baffled by this team, but what Kelly's been doing is just plain weird...

They still need a No. 1 back. Matthews is not on the roster. It's all over every news outlet Murray signing is imminent. We'll see...

He'll get a job. Getting Murray from Dallas is doubly sweet.

I think that methodology predates Gibbs in Washington even... the George Allen 'over the hill gang' were hugely successful with a quarterback whose arm could barely be lifted (billy kilmer)
