there is some strategy. Sometimes you want them to get the ball to kill
time, sometimes you want to pin them back, then the obvious thing
is you can fake a kick off, or you can pooch kick,(kick it into the ground
hoping they will muff it)...did you know the reason (real) Football
players are judged by their 40 yard dash? There is no such race
of 40 yards, its because the average punt goes 40 yards with an average
hang-time of 4.5 seconds, so a football player should be able to cover
40 yards in 4.5 seconds or less.

the arizona/carolina game looks like last week against seattle...except arizona showed some offense in the first half...i wonder if carolina will let arizona get back in it like they did last week

I thought the Bronco's had no chance of winning this game. I was rooting for Manning and he played well enough to win. If he only had this defense during his prime he would have at least three superbowl rings.

It really came down to the missed extra point early in the game - that dictated all the possession strategies in the 4th qtr. The Pats would have kicked field goals instead on going on 4th down. Gostkowski is probably the best kicker in the game - and a missed kick that he had made 523 times in a row cost them a Superbowl appearance.

Well its Tom Terrific! Im surprised he didnt go beast mode and win.
That missed PAT turned out to be killer.

I feel the refs missed two very obvious grounding calls on that drive - he's gets a lot of leeway being Tom Brady.

Apparently that's been discussed as well - getting rid of kickoffs altogether.

I'm not sure Carolina can lose SB50 this year.

Worried that Carolina might do Denver worse than Seattle did in that Super Bowl 2 yrs ago...hope I'm wrong.

Denver better pack a lunch if they want to slow down this Carolina offense. That will be a day's work.

Carolina's just embarrassing the Cards at this point.

My Broncos have their work cut out for them.

I have a real close friend who is from South Carolina and is a big Cats fan, and her husband is from Colorado. She's already planning how she should deal with his deep disappointment.
