I'm not getbent or a 49ers fan.... but here are my thoughts.

One, I'm not sure Chip wears well on pro players.

Two, if they're successful, his not wearing well, will wear a lot better. At least for a while.

Three, he's got to change. The whole, "I'm gonna go uptempo, no matter what, not even if it makes sense to milk the clock," cannot be sustained in the NFL (in my opinion). If the result is that they won't win a lot of games.... see #1.

I do think he could help bring out the best in Kap, if he ends up staying there.

I kind of like that the Rams are going back to L.A. I grew up a Rams fan - we didn't have the Seahawks until right after I graduated high school. So for me, it was Roman Gabriel throwing to Jack Snow. Now I just want to beat the Rams, which we can't seem to do very well. But they should be in L.A. where they belong.

Definitely interested in your opinion too.

Nothing to really dispute with what you said.

As far as Kap, there was quite a bit of talk of the Eagles bringing him in. Similar skill set to Mariota. So once Chip couldn't snag Marcus (and with Bradford starting slow), a Kap/Chip marriage seemed possible and was definitely a talking point throught the season...we just expected it under opposite circumstances.

Playoff weekend #2! Who ya got? My precictions:
Patriots-I like KC, but it's hard to bet against Brady and Belicheck, especially at home after a week off
Broncos-The Steelers are a very resilient team, but I think their luck runs out. I think this game hinges on the health of Roethlisberger and Brown. If they're both a go than I think the Steelers have a great shot at winning. Still picking the Broncos.
Seahawks-I think Carolina falters. The Seahawks have been playing well, and I think last week's scare in Minnesota might be the springboard that pushes them further into motion
Arizona-Now that the Packers got through the warmup game they have to face a real NFL playoff team. I think it'll be closer than week 16, but the Cardinals are better in all phases of the game than both the Redskin and Packers. I think Rodgers will play well, but not well enough

Thise of us who picked all road teams last week went 4 and 0.

Im going all home this week: Pats, AZ, Caro, and Denver.

If Pitt is healthier than we think, they might beat Denver,. But if Ben cant throw deep and missing their RB and Brown somewhat questionable, I think Denver caught a huge break getting the Steelers.

Kansas City over the Patriots. KC is too hot to bet against.
    Broncos over the Steelers.
    Seahawks over the Panthers.
    Arizona over Green Bay.

Just announced that Antonio Brown is out. Of course, who knows if that changes by Sunday. Pittsburgh seems to be a tough out no matter what, but I think they might be too injured to get by the Broncos. Still don't think it'll be a cakewalk for Denver though.

I have had a bad feeling about the Pats for the past two months and it's continuing into this week.

Officially the best weekend in NFL

Patriots - This is Brady's year
    Cardinals
Carolina - hardest game to pick
Denver - if the Bengals didn't stupidly play a 2-deep zone against a QB who couldn't throw more than 10 yards on that last drive, they would be playing and would be the favorites.

To beat the spread, i.e. where I'd put my money:

    Patriots
    Packers
    Panthers
    Steelers

    To beat straight up:

    Patriots
    Packers
    Panthers
    Steelers

The Packers & Steelers straight up are probably just my heart strings tugging, but so be it. Won't be betting the house there.

Without Brown and basically no running game and an armless Ben, I think the Steelers are toast. I wish the Jets wouldn't have wet the bed and made it in--would've been far more interesting I think.

I would bet a large sum of money on Denver winning that game.

Yeah. I'm just not thinking Denver is as good offensively as they need to be, so might be a lot closer than bettors think. It is a bummer Brown's out etc. I do recognize Denver's defensive strength.

Like I said, probably my heart strings vs logic. Liked the Steelers since the the mid-70s, era of great Steelers vs Cowboys. As a guy living in Detroit Lions territory I've always rooted for other good teams and Steelers have a fonder spot in me than the Broncos.

Logic may persuade me to change that one pick before game time.
