Greetings everyone! I'm trying to find out some more info on this very rare gem.

What I can gather so far is it was made like some of the earlier NAMM runs of chambered ash/spruce top teles...except this one has modern appointments. (Locking tuners, birdseye maple 9.5 radius neck, texas special pickups)

I noticed the previously released versions were designed as vintage reissue styled.

Apparently only 12 were made for Sam Ash in 2013. They are sort of a two tone honey burst color, with a black pickguard.

There's a "limited edition" ingot in the back of the headstock very similar to the Fender Select series.

Picked one up online used that's due in Wednesday for around 1350.00 after shipping and tax.

I've seen one sell on reverb years back for a similar price, and another for almost 2300!

Has anybody seen/played these before???

I've scoured the internet and barely found anything about them!

I’ve played them, sold them, and owned one….and I’m sorry that I no longer have it.

Very cool guitar….it doesn’t have the same “snap” as an Alder or Ash bodied Tele….but it does have this very nice round, warm tone to it…I always wanted to have one with just a neck humbucker….I always thought that would make a cool jazz guitar.

Mine had a cherry sunburst finish…is yours the same?

It was just like this one:

There were originally 100 made back in 2004.

$1350 sounds like a great deal!

Okay here we go! Arrived in excellent condition, with the original case, tags, case candy and even the receipt of whoever purchased it in 2016 for over 1500! I had it setup today by our local expert. His first reaction was over the one piece neck, and how light it is. He was impressed to say the least.

Thanks everyone! It plays beautifully. There is definitely a sound you get from a chambered body that differs from a solid body. It's not better or worse to my ears. Just unique. I found myself really staying on the blend and neck pickup way more on this guitar than I do on other telecasters. The sustain on this thing is incredible!
