Me too. At least the lack of a vibrato may keep me from buying one of the Jazzmasters ;)

After my initial excitement I've noticed the Strat-style jackplate. Why? The more I look, the wronger it gets!

That would not stop me. Would take a whole lot more than that to make me give up my lust for one of these.

I wouldn't kick Olivia Wilde out of my hammock just cause she had funky toes either.

Looks just right to me given the shape of the body, and a bit more practical and neater than the Fender.

I suppose it's good that people have strong feelings about these one way or the other. I love that these Squiers are stripped down to thier bare essentials, it's something different and it works for me.

I love the Jazzmaster but I bet those Duncan Designed humbuckers on the Jag sound good!

Still works for me. The Vintage Modifieds (the '51, for example) are like Fender mash-ups. Maybe you should just stop looking. :D

i love the volume knob location. the sx liquids(sjm), the xaviere's jt, jazzmasters, strats, etc., too many guitars have volume knobs obstructing my strumming arc..:)

DO WANT! I wanted a Short Scale, but the jagmaster was all I could afford and it didn't float my boat. now I'm excited to drop a burstbucker or two in the jaguar.

What's with fender continually releasing "Jaguars" without Jag switching or trems?

These look pretty awesome, though it'd be nice to get a CV Jag and JM- not so much modified, but close to vintage spec and affordable. I couldn't hang with the CP Jag and JM- the ones I checked out were nice, but the spacing between the bridge and trem put me off. Call me crazy, but I like the overtones the original spacing causes...

Will check these out once they are released.

Don't mind the trem being missing--building a JM right now, so already have one with it. I was thinking of building one without the trem, but now that these have been announced...
