Hi! I'm looking to change the bridge pickup on my Blizzard Pearl 2011 American standard, and i already checked beneath the pickguard and discovered a h-s route (neck - middle) but don't have the courage to take out the bridge. Does anyone have any experience with these guitars? I'm looking to put a Duncan JB in the bridge. Thanks.

You'll find a strictly single-coil standard Tele bridge pickup cavity under there, so that'll take woodwork to achieve your goal.
(Unless they made a massive and unusual change between my good buddy's 2010 Blizzard Pearl AmStd and your 2011... not impossible, but definitely unlikely...)

Guess I'll have to stick to the Little 59 then

I don't think any modern Fender/Squire are routed for anything other than what is going in them. Can anyone confirm there is a model that is over-routed currently being produced?

My am std is routed both for a humbucker neck and a single coil middle

My 2009 American Standard is routed at least for Humbucker size in neck, Single coil in middle, and presumably single coil in bridge. As equipped from the factory, it has traditional single coil pickup in the neck, a traditional single coil pickup in the bridge, and nothing in the middle. Given that mine is stocked that way, you could say it's "over-routed".

My American Deluxe Ash is routed for neck humbucker, middle single, bridge single, from the factory. Came equipped with N3 noiseless 'traditional' setup.
My Deluxe Nashville has a swimming pool routing under the pickguard to accommodate lots of possibilities - this was new in the box and factory.
My buddy's '10 AmStd was factory routed for neck humbucker and middle single - equipped with traditional setup, and also clearly factory done..
Those are my personal experiences with this.

Both incarnations of the MiM Deluxe Nashville have standard Telecaster bridge pickup routs.
The pre-2016 version has a short swimming pool rout for neck and middle. The 2016 has separate single coil middle and humbucker neck routs

From the factory it was routed for humbuckers but equipped with single coils?

Yes - remember that for a while Fender had a model with a neck humbucker (during the "American Series" era) and the B-bender model has the middle pickup. Therefore Fender makes it simple by using one body rout for the American Standard. When they brought out the most recent American Standard HH model in 2014 it used a different body.

(Right - I'd meant to specify that my Deluxe Nashville is a 2012 serial number, bought new-in-box brought from Fender distribution and into my hands mid-2013; I'm yet to see under the hood of the new '16 & onward versions.)

I have a late-2011/early-2012 American Standard. I honestly can't remember if there's a hole for a middle pickguard, but the neck slot is definitely sized for a humbucker.
