I can't spell it but what kind of route does an 2009 MIM have ?
Swimming pool or individual pickup clearance ?
I want to get a loaded pickguard with 2 or 3 P90's for my guitar but I don't want to have to remove wood.

    thanks,
    JJ

Not sure. I'd have to just check bodies on ebay and accumulate some examples by year. Not sure if there were any boat routs that late or not. Earlier in the 2000's there were.

Last I looked, MIM Standards had a S-S-H pickup rout, plus the 3 "coin holder" CNC locating holes.

Things may have changed, but I doubt it. :)

The current Player series bodies are HSH - like the USA bodies (but with the locator holes) but I think they kept the Standards HSS through the end of their run (circa May/June 2018).

    .

P90 and Jazzmaster pickups will require routing.

Even with a swimming pool route .. P90s are too wide to center under the strings.

You will likely need to cut through the pickguard on the treble side too.

If you have the set of P90s, remove a cover and slide it under the strings and see what it takes.
