I have a 2008 Bullet Strat made in China (COB serial) and the neck on it is phenomenal (for me, at least). The rosewood fretboard is dark and slick, almost like it's greasy (but it isn't, of course, lol). The frets are shiny and look great and seem to be made from quality metal (whatever it is). I've tried and played other Squiers made in the later years but the neck is nowhere near as good as my 2008.

Is there a Squier Tele model from that same era that might have the same type of rosewood neck?

I have a COB09 Bullet Strat and I get where you're coming from. It just feels right.

I'd love a tele neck like that! I think there's only like 1mm difference at the 1st fret but my CVC60 neck feels soooo skinny in comparison.
