    Hey gurus,

I am rehabbing an inexpensive s-style partscaster that was my main guitar for a few years. It has a bridge humbucker and a single coil in the neck with a 3-way switch.

I recently found a wiring diagram that will coil split the bridge pickup in the middle position for (hopefully) a more tele-like sound. Diagram below...

My question is this- if I went to a 4-way switch with this coil split wired in, would it put the split coil into series with the neck single coil, or would it put the full humbucker into series with the neck single coil? Thanks in advance!

It says single/single, but it would be parallel, right?

In the middle position, yes. I am wondering how a 4th position for series would work. Wondering if it would take one coil from the humbucker and put it in series with the neck single coil?
