Thanks! I thought about several different variations for one of my routers, but my current table is one of those cheap Kobalt jobs and the slots aren’t a standard size…and most of the jigs for handheld routers are almost as much as buying a new table, so I improvised for the table saw with what I had to hand.
I have a cheap router table also, actually a few as I bought some routers used and they came with tables. I used the outsides of the table to slide the sled on. I have the two different finger widths on either end of the sled. I had to file the ends of the table to be parallel for the sled to travel smoothly, works well now.

Once I get a bunch of other projects out of the way I could see making one like you did. Would be handy to make drawers with (can you hear me conviincing myself I need one?).

Ooh I didn’t even think about making the jig to slide on the outside edges…very clever! That makes a lot of sense once I visualized what you were saying 👍 Excellent tip!

So a small update so far today. Test mounted the drivers and pre-drilled the holes to mount the baffle to the cleat. Cut it awfully close, but they fit! Bear in mind these will be rear mounted.

@given_to13, that's one heck of a first try. 🥰

Are you a big man? That could be like a small suitcase to you, or.... I'd flip it on end and put Marshall style 4x12 handles on it. Better dispersion, and the Vox's knobs are closer. Your roadies will thank you.

Looking at the baffle, I'm struck by how much more secure the speaker with 8 screws looks. I can't believe I never noticed it. I have a Cream to mount in a Marshall, now I'm thinking of drilling 4 more holes in the frame.

And that's all the quibbles and suggestions I got. Looks great. 👍

Thank you, kindly!

I'm fairly sizable. 6' 220. I thought about doing it vertically, in fact that was my original intent, but I didn't want a slant and was worried that one of my 5 animals would knock it over without some interior counterweight...which defeated the purpose of making it light. Add that to the fact that my lady wanted it to be mid-century looking and so I went with the suitcase style for the cool chrome and leather handle. This thing will more than likely never leave the house. I built it more than anything just to see if I could. Those are both good suggestions though!

Yeah the 4 screw thing kinda threw me a bit as well, but given the frequencies that these play, they don't move a lot of air. Most of the factory amps and cabs come with 3/8" - 1/2" thick baffles. If these were 12" subs with 10lb magnets, I'd have a doubled up 3/4" BB ply baffle, but I don't think it's terribly necessary with guitar speakers.

Appreciate it!
