I went to Music-Go-Round on Presidents Day and bought a 1994 Wine Red Studio. with Gold hardware. It looks just like the first Les Paul I ever bought which was a 2002 version of the same model. I bought that guitar at a different Music-go-Round(Uptown Minneapolis, now closed) in 2004 and it was my first "real" guitar. This is a photo of that one.

This is my new one. I actually went to the store to buy this amp but when I saw this Les Paul it was like deja-vu all over again so I had to get it.

That's really cool! Mid 90s through late 2000s are my favorite years for Les Pauls that don't cost a fortune to buy. They're generally consistent in their quality which is generally very good. I like your LP Studio. If you can't get a good sound out of that, you gotta quit guitar and pick up tuba.

I owned an identical one that I bought brand new, same year. It was a great guitar. Finally sold it a few years ago because it was just too darn heavy for me to play for more than a half hour or so. I miss it sometimes.

Ive been reading about Gibsons and it seems that 90’s - 2000’s are the best years? Ive read on thegearpage from an ex-Gibson employee that these 90’s LP’s are pretty good, with QC and materials used.

    thats a lovely example!! Congrats

that ought to be a great guitar! I owned a '92. mine had an ebony fretboard and I put sperzels on it. the only complaint was it was a bit heavy.

those early 90's studios are sleepers - not many know how truly great they are.

    Congratulations!

I had one, bought in ‘93 or so. Wish I still had it.
