1981 Ibanez Blazer Before and After Mod Action

Been working on this one for a while. In short - I run my 1981 Ibanez Blazer through a planer and glued a 3000 year old redwood top to it to create this monster of a guitar.

It turned out rather well!
My sole electric guitar from '85 to '05 was a hardtail blazer custom just like yours albeit the 3 pickup config. It went to a very good home when I finally realised that I play about a hunderd times better on chunky necks.

3000 y o wood would have to be pulled out of a river right, or some other special environment? There’s gotta be a pretty neat story there. How was the dating done?

Not sure how they dated it but those redwoods generally get pretty old anyway, I'm just taking the seller's word for it!
