1969 Deluxe reverb

    My teck said my 69 is mostly black faced with cloth wire ! We replaced all the brown turds with sozo caps and new f & t filter caps !Anyway what say you?

    I say pics or it’s a crate powerstation. Curious how it sounds. I’ve got a mix
    Of blue and brown caps in my Princeton, they sound good to me. Hope your tech returned all the old parts to you.

    Not sure about going to the trouble of cloth wire on a SF amp, but fine amp you have there! It should be mostly BF to start with, I think the DR changed in late 70, the last to change reportedly. There was a 68 revision, but not alot changed from the AB763 IIRC. It should have the BF style cabinet also... does it?

    I say.......good move. My '65 came with cheap "Rat Shack" caps and resistors when I bought it 18 years ago. I rebuilt it with carbon comp resistors and Mallory 150's. I purchased a full set of Sozo Blues a few years ago and replaced the Mallory 150's.
