    Love the puns!

Is it too Rich, or just too many Bucks?

    All right, enough of that!

I can’t afford it either, but anyway, as @lewis said, it’s priceless. This should be in a museum.

I downloaded a few of the pics for posterity for once the link goes dead

Wow that's a truck load of hearsay the seller has employed to try and make this a historically significant guitar.

Good point. If @Redd Volkaert still hangs around here he could probably confirm it or call it bogus.

I hate to be crass but, so what? That guitar belongs in a museum that very few people will visit.

Not that I'm going to buy it anyway, but I'd not do it before having confirmation from Redd, as said.
    He's amazingly approachable.

Who wants a red, yellow and green guitar, anyway?
What country uses that for their flag?
    Grenada?:p

The pick guard looks too white and the fading with it off isn't quite right.

    Right?

If Don happened to played it and his DNA can be lifted and cloned allowing me to play and sound like he did..Hey! Tenderfoot wake up! Yea, I know the guitar is a piece of Bakersfield twang history. But, without the ability to play it like Don and Buck did, its more suited for someone in a Buck Owens/Don Rich tribute band. Or, as others have mentioned, perhaps placed in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville or better yet the Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield.

I'd like to hear the story from Redd himself. Or some notarized paperwork. A picture of Doyle and the guitar?

Did the Red, White and Blue guitars come that early? Thought it was more late 60's early 70's. Also thought it started with the acoustics.

I saw Buck and the Buckaroos in 65/66. There was the sparkle-casters, but not anything like this.

It's a good story, but I'd like some solid proof before buying it.;)

Okay, it doesn't have notarized photographic provenance, blah, blah, blah...
Doyle Holley was the Buckaroos' bassist for years, and owned a music store for years, at which time he used to buy from the wholesale company where I worked. There is NO reason to think that this guitar did not belong to Don Rich, especially if Redd confirms the story. This kind of "dissing" by folks who spend all their time posting about things when they know nothing makes me crazy...

Don’t want to throw the thread off but I checked out the sellers other items

Dose anyone here know that gibson made orchestral instruments?
He’s got a violin, cello and bass from the early 40’s
    I had no clue
