Wanted to share. I found this at a private auction in may. Plays like a dream. All original beside upgraded tuners. The original and only owner had his name “Larry” as a custom inlay. Cool piece of history.

DROOL!!!!!!!
Like most of us, I have a few guitars that "got away" over the years. One, in the late-ish 1960's was a (unknown age) Walnut finish ES 330. A friend was selling for somewhere around $200-250, and I just didn't have the money. I did borrow it for a gig, and it was amazing. Not long after I passed it up I found my 1960 Les Paul Jr......so that was a nice consolation.

What a beauty!

Forgive me if I'm being too intrusive, but how much was it?
I've heard of great deals being had at private auctions.

My buddy has a mid 60’s burgundy sparkle 330, it was his first electric and he got it when we were 15-16 along with an ampeg Gemini 1-12

that is one of the best playing guitars I’ve ever touched, with the ampeg it was a great sounding rig. Too bad the ampeg needs to be resurrected but he’s still got it….

also too bad he’s not rocking out because he also has a 67 pro reverb that is also seriously cool sounding but loud

Congrats.

Are you sure it’s a ‘63? My initial reaction was ‘66–‘67. Short neck version, but witch hats.

Hey guys...Wanted to open this thread back up. So recently I tried to make a trade for this guitar, and it was found that at one point, the original owner had a headstock repair on this. Could you help me in determining what does to the value on this? Thanks.

Tim
