I'm overwhelmed... Thank you so much guys.
I have a lefty burst build...
You're welcome Brian. My pleasure... and thanks!
Thank you so much!
preeb, one hell of a thread and a very nice guitar. How much for that Lefty Burst and could you post a pic?
That has to be decided by the buyer, no doubt. I was initially thinking it looked a bit odd with all the shiny stuff on it and the brilliant finish, but if this is built like a real '59 it should age quite quickly anyway . Now I think it should stay as it is and get played to hell and back. Nothing can quite replicate natural ageing...
My old 50W Marshall combo... I probably need to get a new amp... but I'm so used to it for doing sound tests that it will be too hard getting used to anything else... even a better amp...
If it sounds great through this amp it will sound great anywhere, guaranteed (-;
Please... no commercial stuff on the forum (-;
Gil,this has been beyond fun to follow from the very beginning, as are all of your build threads. You have done a masterful job of recreating a beautiful '59 Burst but the greater accomplishment is your documentation of the process and your sharing of information. You have undoubtedly brought a lot of joy to those who have followed this thread, and the many more who will discover this in the future. Be proud of yourself, you have brought some happiness to the world by caring about what you do.
Oh... I can replicate it alright... but this is not the question...
If that Chita guy comes through the door he better shine LOL There's about 3,000 guitarists wanting to take his place! He could also bring something like this:
I'm very happy to read your post. Never thought it would come to this.
Remember I'm not inventing anything here... I really can't take any credit for the beauty and wonderful tone of his instrument... I can only take credit to being insane enough (among quit a few others) to try and duplicate this (-;
Well done! I do believe this build thread will be the standard ( no pun intended) by which all others are compared to.
Bravo, Bravo (Standing Ovation)!
excellent, in my way of working is a before and after this post, the way they work made me understand many things
Actually the best post I've read in my life, seriously! Congratulations!
You are a great LUTHIER
tir par today that I post to often?? everything was completed ......
but still owes me an explanation, as the aging of the instrument that generates the UV rays?
Amazing, im for the no relic, not that it matters its not mine... Maybe just a slight "UV Bomb" to get the fade going... but its the "players" decision so if hes reading im giving my two cents!
Gil you are the master...
Perfection !! Sheer perfection !! Now .... How about a 335. C'mon no time for resting.!!
Just kidding Gil, Well done on another great build thread.
