    Nice!
My first electric guitar was a Guyatone.
    Mine was a Moserite/Jazzmaster-ey thing.
    Yours is cooler!

When I bought it the guy said it didn’t work, he couldn’t get any sound out of it. I just did a good refresh on it with some deoxit and standard cleaning etc. it sounds awesome! I was very surprised that the pickups still had very good output and clarity. The frets still have plenty life because it had been used as a lap steel, there was a large nut in the case to raise the action and convert it to slide. It is a neck through design, not bolt on so the guitar feels very solid with a beefy neck with good sustain. Fun to play!

Check out Ry Cooder's version of " Little Sister " on Youtube. It's a Guyatone could be Gibson PAF p/ups.
It's really a good ol' song and he pays it so well ( always does!).
    I like those old Guyatones.

No, it's more the case of the same factory (Fuji-gen Gakki in this case) producing guitars under a multitude of brands.

Actually this guitar was made by Tokyo Sound Laboratory as a Guyatone LG60. Branded for a export company called Hoshino Gakki (Ibanez)

One of the coolest electric guitars ever: Jon Brion's favorite electric (if you don't know who he is, check him out: that cat can play)))

what kind of tele is that? the pickups look different from mine and the headstock too...

also sorry chap, but one knob to many, I think you may have been led astray. A good luthier can probably bring it back into proper spec....
