A dear friend sent me these pics of his stunning 1953 Blackguard.
I thought I would share them with you fellow Tele hounds.
I asked his permission to post these pics.
He says it's his "best Gibson" guitar.:)
And he owns an absolutely killer Gibson 1957 Gold Top.
Who says a Tele can't rock!!!!!!

The shot under the pickguard demonstrates how lightly coloured these were brand new.

A beautiful Esquire. 53 love here! My 53 body and neck were penciled March. Refin and a few pieces original, the rest period correct and new. It is light and a joy to play. Leo Fender, thank you!

I can never afford my "Birth" year guitar. And how did they get a 90* angle plug to fit?

THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE, I really appreciate your taking the time and making the effort to post this information.
I first heard of Trainwreck amp in Guitar player magazine when they were first introduce . The author of the article was very generous with his praise , If I real correctly there wasn't a lot to compare them too. If I do remember correctly Trainwreck were offer in a few different flavor , It's been a while so I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't until later on .
