That is the image of the 1950 Fender catalog I believe. The Broadcaster pictured is Serial # 0084

Here is another image of the same Broadcaster. Judging from the grain it looks as though it might be a one piece ash body. If it is it‘s needless to say that this would be incredibly rare in it‘s own respect.

At one point this guitar was at Normans Rare Guitars:

The backstory of the guitar is explained by Norman Harris.

and a link to really detailed pictures:

Thought this info would be cool enough to merit it‘s own thread. This is probably the finest examples of a Broadcaster I have ever seen! Enjoy!

This image was my laptop background for my last few years of high school. To me it was the Ur-Telecaster. Cool to know that the actual guitar it’s still somewhat in circulation. Not that I’m likely to be in the market for it anytime soon.

Some good research here, especially those studio shots they seem to have made the posters out of.

Cool story! Yes, I think I saw pictures of this Broadcaster on blackguardlog.com years ago and I found the Fender Catalog pictures this year and I knew I recognized that Broadcaster cause of the grain. I posted them in other threads throughout the year and I found the videos of this guitar yesterday and thought I will make a organized compendium of all the info I found on this guitar throughout the years haha. Beautiful piece of history.

There's another thread on this guitar already you may want to search for. Use 0084 and you'll hit it.

Old Norm scores again . I could never afford this unless I sold my house , but I'd sure like to spend an hour with it and a nice tweed or brown Fender Deluxe !!! Drool city !! ( Honest Norm , I won't break it !! )

Good question! I was wondering the same. How much did it sell for...
