    ferrules.jpg I thought that looked like a pretty good refinish... until I saw the sanding around the ferrules. Looks ludicrous to me.

    Why don't folks realise that less is more with something like that?

    Nacho's earlier guitars, like the Broadcaster linked to in that thread, were refinished by Clive Brown. His work is of a totally different calibre to this Esquire. He charges around $1000 to refinish a body... it's worth the investment for an early guitar.

    This wasn't a Clive Brown guitar . Refin by Mark Jenny It looks pretty poor so would need sending to carson Hess or Brown. The price is hopeful.

    The guitar to which I'm referring is the Broadcaster 0635. Refinished by Clive Brown. Looks nothing like this Esquire which has a poor MJT refinish - which simply looks as if it's been sanded rather than played. A shame that, with a rare instrument, someone didn't wait to get it done by Clive or Carson.I think Masterbuilt is right about that price.
