12BZ7 Tube In A Radial Tonebone Classic...............

    Last night I replaced a 12BH7 (taller tube similar to a 12AU7) in my radial Tonebone Classic for a 12BZ7 (taller tube similar to a 12AX7) and I will be putting this pedal through overdrive/distortion taste tests today. I had replaced the 12AX7 that comes with the pedal with the 12BH7 to smooth it out and decided let's get back to more gain. Should sound really good as I usually replace all incoming tube equipment with new NOS tubes.

    That's one of my favorite dirt pedals. Hope the tube change floats your boat!

    I agree. It's a nice smooth warm tone. Good EQ options too. Not sure why I ever sold mine. Yet another dumb move.

    The Trimode which is the two channel version is my to go - pedal... Love the control over the treble portion of the sound... you can make it sound good even through a Fender Twin with JBLs...

    I have other pedals which may sound better in certain settings but if I could only have one pedal it would be the trimode for sure...
