Freak snowstorm today found me inside the house, odd for a Tuesday. Dug this little gem out of the closet.

Before I was obsessed with guitars and gear, it was mandolins and fiddles. This here is a 1909 Gibson A-4.

It's cliche' but they do not make them quite like that anymore.
    Very nice.

Sweet little axe! I have a '20s snakehead. It's bark is as good as its bite.

    Beautiful.
I think A-style mandos are drastically undervalued.

Post some pictures of your snake head. Is it an A-2 or A-4?

Gorgeous! I have a 1911 F-2 - I love the black top look, definitely my favourite mandolin finish.
