Just occurred to me this auspicious time was a decade ago, when I stumbled into this community.
I had some scratch, and decided that after some years, it was time to get a new guitar. And I wanted a Tele.
    But which one?
So I'm looking at various ones on Thomann and I'm intrigued by the price (under €300 iirc) and the looks (legit) of this new(ish) thing called Classic Vibe.
I try to get opinions on the internet. Right away I notice there's a Lot of people Raving about these things. And nobody really complaining. This is unusual. Good sign.
Then I see the TDPRI, master of all things Tele related, and jump in and ask about them. Y'all were pretty dazzled as well and on the back of that I gave Thomann more of my money.
And I was.... Also dazzled. The looks, the sound, the jealousy of my friends! (one sod bought one three days after we jammed. Still has his too).
Since then we've been around the world, moved back to Texas with body in my backpack and neck in my suitcase. A forever guitar.
As is this forum for me. Here I have found genuinely similar souls, incredibly awesome people and a great font of knowledge.
    I appreciate you all.
When I asked when I would get the groovy dirty neck wear, you said "check back in ten years." it's still pretty clean, I don't swear much and I have a few other guitars. But my CV is still number 1. Here's some photos through the years. Today first then progressively older. Happy 10 and many more. Looks like at least one pick up changed, anything else?

Oh I've modded it extensively. That's a GFS mini humbucker in the picture with the Bogner I was playing with a band in Hamburg.
It had a rosewood CVC neck for a minute (did not care for the look or sound), it was Esquire'd for a long time because I really liked that. Now it has the very hot humbucker from my 1982 MIJ Flying V. It works rather well here and this it has been allowed to stay for a while.

I'm playing it right now as a matter of fact! I'm not 100 on the pot and wiring situation - it's always a compromise with the bucker and the sc. Might swap out the 500k for 250k and see what happens. or try to put a resistor so the sc "sees" 250k on the 500k pot. But it is an extraordinary instrument.
