Looks kind of dusty. Use a soft long bristled brush to clean it off.

I used to work with a guy whose grandfather flew one of those in the war. It was the version with multiple .50 calibers in the nose. He said when they went to strafe a ship, he would line up on the ship, open fire, and then just rock the rudder pedals to spray lead from side to side.

Had a Shop teacher in H.S. who flew Medium Bombers. He use to say the B-25 was a lumberwagon and the B-26 was a hot rod( If you survived the training)

I had to do the Greatful Dead style tail flash and number 43 for Richard Petty !

As a Vietnam era veteran and the son of of a WWII and Korean veteran, I have to ask “Why?”
Petty was a race car driver who never served the country. The draft was in full force, and he was prime age for Vietnam. Fwiw, the last name placed on the Vietnam War Memorial was the first acknowledged death….1956. His son’s name was on the wall years before the father’s name went on.
Hey, Elvis served! Why not paint a guitar on it with a hip-shaking girl adorning the front of the plane. You also covered up the bombadier’s ‘office’ at the nose. That looks really odd to my eye. I used to draw WWII air and naval battles when I was a kid and knew such Details.
