I got my 2009 HW1 just about 10 years ago...... Man how they grow!

5 hole bakelite, Callaham brass compensated saddles, split shaft tuners and switchcraft jack. Kept the 'hot' pickups, bridge plate and control plate.

09 was the last year of the HW1 where you could get a honey blond and I think I got one of the very last ones.

This is my favorite pic of her, it's a reissue tweed BJ that'll be 10 in Nov. 20150910_185507.jpg , great combo!

The highway one Texas twins 2003 and 2008. Lightweight Ash bodies, 12 radius maple necks, Glendale stainless bridge plates, Gotoh compensated saddles, Bakelite pickguards, Gotoh vintage locking tuners.

Awesome Tele and great photo! Thanks for posting this...it's always cool to see someone so happy with a guitar that they've had it for over a decade.

12 years for mine, the blue one in my profile pic. I keep trying to find one that beats it, but it's still on top.

I think those HW1 guitars are great.
And here's to the next ten years you enjoy with yours!

I miss mine. I had a red Highway One and sold it a about seven years ago. Loved the nice rolled neck and big fat frets the best on that guitar. I’d like to pick up another one some day.

This is the model that made FMIC realize the 3 barrel design was an Everyman design and should be readily available at a fair price.

    I had a 2006 Hwy-1...

It looked and played great, unfortunately (for it) the Hwy-1 couldn’t quite match my 2003 Fender AVRI 52 Tele’s sweet tone, so I let her go...

Congrats on the '09 Fender Highway 1 Honey Blonde Tele.

I was lucky enough to join the family a few months ago, when I found one exact year and color as the OP.

Lucked out and scored one in a pawnshop for $100.

My son loved the color, tone, and playability so much, he took it over as his main guitar for church worship services.

    They truly are amazing guitars.
