I'm just glad we're all "podnas" here, and all this good-natured ribbing is all in fun.
And I'm also glad no one told about the scene at the end where Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones were just about to be reunited when the Alien pops through the door and takes both of their heads off. Kinda derivative if you ask me. ;)
    (hope I didn't spoil anyone's fun!)

I also liked Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting. I have not seen the Martian.

For the most part I have liked Matt Damon. His partner Ben Affleck is another one of my favorites. The surprise I guess is Casey Affleck, I like him as much as I like any of the others.

Yeah, that was a great movie. I sure didn’t expect it to turn the way it went. :(

Hey wait, nothing about the Clooney/Bullock, "Gravity"?

    Okay, I'll show myself out.

Good Will hunting is pretty good. I shouldn't like Matt Damon, but I can't help it I do. His space thingies though seem a little sucky though. Mathew McConaughey has been in some excellent movies. A time to kill for one, but I think when he's supposed to be driving a space ship, he gets it mixed up with his Lincoln commercials. His being able to live for so long in Interstellar though, can't knock him for that, I'm doing my best to do the same.

The part I liked the most was at the beginning, when he goes to work. He basically says « We focus on our task, we all wear masks; when I’m asked a question I smile and answer something nice, but please don’t touch me ». I can relate to this kind of solitude, and having watched the entire movie it clearly echoes with the end.

The Martian is my favourite modern sci-fi movie, followed closely by Arrival.

    And Spaceballs...

Damon voiced his opinion against Americans owning guns while he promoted the latest Bourne movie. Hypocrite.

^^^People think the two Michigan’s are the Upper Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula.

Actually, there’s the west side of the Lower Peninsula - and then there’s everywhere else !:lol::lol:

Haven't seen it yet, the commercials look "promising"....it's hard to do great sci-f-.... The Martian is pretty damned good....I enjoyed Apollo 18 as well - even my wife liked it, surprisingly
