Does it sound as good as it looks?

Interesting way to put a bunch of money and work into a guitar to lower its value

I'd like to know his relicing technique. It looks like he threw it off a cliff after lighting it on fire.

Aged? He lit the headstock on fire like I like my campfire marshmallows!

Also, why is the back of the guitar and neck pristine if it's "aged"?

All that and $100 for shipping? What a dum dum hahaha

I’d definitely play it if it were a player. But the price would have to be really enticing.

Actually you could probably salvage $200 worth of parts from this. (Which would only be worth it if you could buy it for $100.)

    I dig it.

It's an artistic statement. He took a boring, off the rack guitar and transformed it into a badass road warrior. It's got a nice bridge, good pickups, locking tuners, and it all looks ready to rock. Plug it into a JCM800 and watch it smoke any Les Paul for a fraction of the price. I'd play the hell out of this thing.

About 6 months ago I ran across a Squier CV thinline...the dark ones that someone had modified with 4 pickups and a bunch of toggle switches. It was a fairly neat job that someone had done with care. And the guitar was nice-worn in all the right places, sounded good etc. It looked like some singer songwriter had bad luck and had to sell his horse. They wanted $125-I bet they would have taken $100. I went back the next day and it was gone.

I think the British term for this is "Dog's Breakfast"
Eddie Van Halen was my first thought.
It might actually be a good player. The bridge is a nice upgrade.
The burn marks are a bit much...
There was a line in some old 80's movie: "I can fix it, my Dad has tools"

The more I look at the one in question, the more I think it’s not a terrible price, if not for the shipping. The Hipshot bridge is $100. Pair of Duncans at least $160. Maybe $180. Locking tuners, another $50-$60. What does an MIM reissue neck cost? Another $200? For somebody handy, that body is salvageable.

Yeah, it’s ugly. But there’s a lot of good stuff there. I think if there were no shipping charge, and it was $300, I might have to go get it. It could make a fun project, or good parts for several of them.

That's what I thought. It's a Telecaster that identifies as a Les Paul.

He wants 100 bucks for freight?! Tie it to the back of any truck heading in the general direction it needs to go, and it'll get there in no worse shape than it's in now. That thing is rough!

I was thinking it was either Risky Business, 16 Candles or Fast Times.
