The correct phrase is "needs sold".
What bugs me is all of the Craigslist and Facebook ads for cars that have good breaks. When I'm shopping for a car I'm usually looking for something that is not broken.
Or would that be "needs selled"?
The only thing that bothers me more is when people think the plural of knife is "knifes".
