I tried placing the logo to your measurements from the outside of the drip edge (top left corner). I marked the location with tape (almost like pin stripe tape).

The new locations are very close to the current holes. Still looks too close to the top to me.

Some good news, and can drop the Logo quite a bit and also cover/hide the existing holes.

Thanks 2HStrat for taking the time to measure for me.

    Much appreciated.

Still hoping to get some measurements from someone with an original drip edge amp.

Nice amp, Mr Lucky! This is my May '68 build AB763 black line Super Reverb. Logo & grille cloth have never been touched. (Well, other than the mic stand base that went through it back in '73!)

The location of your logo looks very similar to mine.

Maybe my logo was in he correct location after all?

    Thanks for posting the photo.

That may be the 'factory original' location, but it sure doesn't look symmetrical to me.

Although, I have two bassman cabinets, one with similar to the above and one with further down (both appear to be original placements). And a 67 Vibro-Champ that looks higher up (but less baffle area to work with??).

Probably wherever the person who was installing them thought they look better. I doubt they used a template or measured anything for that.

You maybe correct, just by looking at all of the very different examples.

I reinstalled the logo back in the same location. From looking at many ‘68 Super Reverb photos online, the logo appears to already be in the correct location for a drip-edge amp.

Many thanks to all that commented.

Just now seeing this thread, dang! If you still want those dimensions I can take them off my '69 drip edge and post them here for ya tonight or tomorrow.

Sure, I’d love to have actual dimensions from a drip-edge Super.

Whenever you get a chance, it would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Are these dimensions a bit precise? Maybe, but I had my setup ruler handy with 1/64" on it so here ya go! I'm not sure if there was a better way to take the measurements, but I just measured from the edges of the drip-edge trim to the center of each screw.

The upper left corner of the baffle is (0,0)
    Top of F: (2 11/64, 2 1/4)
    Bottom of F: (2, 3 21/32)
    Right side: (5 9/64, 1 6/32)

My pleasure! I posted a thread last summer about the SR I ended up getting, and I remember you giving me some good advice and sharing your experience with these amps, so I was happy to return the favor (however small). Good luck!

So cool, apparently the previous owner reinstalled the logo in the proper-original location (holes).

I converted your numbers to decimals and checked the screw-hole locations with my dial caliper. Your coordinates are identical to mine. My logo was reinstalled in the same location as yours.

I also found a photo of a 1969 drip-edge Super Reverb that I owned a few years ago. That amp still had the original grill cloth and the logo location looked the same from my photo. All good now.

Thank you very much Sonnie for confirming the proper logo location.

Glad to hear all that Grid! I'm happy that I was able to provide a valid reference to confirm what you had.

Now, how does it sound? Every time I plug into mine I'm blown away, literally and figuratively haha!

I’ve owned many BF, SF, and Brown Fender amps over the years and a Super Reverb maybe my favorite model.

This SR is also a great sounding amp (BF circuit and original CTS speakers).

OP I would fix the alignment on the grill cloth first that bothers me way more than the position of the logo. Fender didn't mount them all in the exact same place to begin with.

I want to first find some more original grill cloth and replace this one.
